This 100 year old Colonial Revival, inspired by Mount Vernon was designed by architect Robert Rhodes McGoodwin, an American architect and educator, best known for his suburban houses in the Chestnut Hill and Mount Airy sections of Philadelphia. The schist stone home was originally named “Andorra House”and was built by William Harper the owner of Andorra Nurseries. Andorra Nurseries was at the time the largest tree nursery in the east, covering more than 1,400 acres.
Ernst Brothers was hired to repair and restore the aging architectural exterior moldings. As with most of our clients the owners of this iconic home have become repeat clients and since we have been back to renovate the kitchen and baths.
